How To Use LinkedIn Stories To Ramp Up Your Engagement

LinkedIn is the latest platform on the social media block to launch a stories feature. The most popular professionals on LinkedIn regularly speak to best practices in the workplace, like hiring the right people, tackling scheduling challenges, or fundraising. Think of LinkedIn stories as just another outlet to share your business challenges, accomplishments, and daily fun tasks. The feature is pretty much exactly as you would find on Instagram and the like, where you can post a piece of content that will be visible for 24 hours. The maximum run time is 20 seconds. Here are some specific for you to make sure you know exactly what you can post:

Ready to get posting, but needing a little inspiration? Read on for some engagement grabbing ideas you can use right away!

Show the people behind the magic!

People will always like to see other people, especially those behind the brands they love. Show your employees having fun creating awesome products. Get creative and think of how you can highlight those special employees who are integral to your brand. One-man-band? Simply show something about who YOU are instead!

Real-time updates

Give your followers a tour of the event from your perspective. Maybe you are attending some industry awards, or hosting an event? Whatever it is a sneak peek for your viewers will be a perfect snippet of content for LinkedIn stories.

Thought leadership

What questions do your clients ask you? What conundrums have your team found the answers to? Why not address and answer these in your LinkedIn stories?

News and Announcements

This could be anything from product launches, new partnerships, finishing a round of funding, or reaching an employee milestone. Whatever news you have, share it via LinkedIn stories.

Embellish your Story

LinkedIn includes stickers, emojis, locations, and more to post on your story. Don’t go overboard, but a few tastefully-placed and relevant stickers can go a long way.
